As Managing Director, Robyn Schryer Fehrman supports CASE’s overall strategy, leads the center’s internal operations, and manages practitioner and student programs. Prior to joining CASE in 2015, Robyn had a 15-year career in nonprofit leadership & philanthropy, most recently serving as Executive Director of Teach For America – Eastern North Carolina. Robyn has been active in many boards and task forces focused on education, public health, and environmental advocacy at the local, state, and national levels. Currently, she serves on the Board of Directors of Global Grassroots, a social enterprise that catalyzes women and girls as the leaders of Conscious Social Change in their communities. Outside of Duke, she is the founder of Mindful Type A Wellness – a yoga and mindfulness consulting practice for high impact leaders and organizations pursuing transformational change and Mindful Social Impact – a philanthropic advising practice helping individuals and families consciously align their values and money with the impact they seek to make in the world. She has been honored as one of Triangle Business Journal’s 40 Leaders Under 40, a Leadership Triangle Goodmon Fellow Alumni Award winner, and a Carolina Center for Public Service Robert E. Bryan Public Service Award winner. Robyn received a B.A. in English and a Master of Public Administration from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
