Catherine Gilliss’s work focuses on complex social systems, including families intersecting with health/illness challenges and organizations experiencing change. A developmentalist, she is especially interested in the relationship between culture and change in these social systems. She teaches courses in health care operations and organizational behavior in health care systems, and leads the Executive Leadership track within Duke’s Doctor of Nursing Practice degree program.
