New briefing paper summarizes what investors and business leaders need to know about ESG Investing
ESG investing is a hot topic that’s getting hotter. Also called “sustainable investing,” ESG investing incorporates environmental, social, and governance factors into company and portfolio valuation. Morgan Stanley estimates that “more than 8 in 10 U.S. individual investors (85%) now express interest in sustainable investing, while half take part in at least one sustainable investing activity.”
A new “MBA EDGE” briefing from Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business provides an introduction to ESG Investing, along with key terms, trends, risks, and opportunities. This paper is aimed primarily at current MBA students, but anyone wanting a primer on the topic will find it useful.
This 6-page briefing, “ESG Investing: What Every MBA Needs to Know,” is available to download, print, and share for free.
