Center for Energy, Development, and the Global Environment (EDGE)

Call for Nominations: EDGE Executive Council

The Center for Energy, Development, and the Global Environment (EDGE) at Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business is a dynamic hub for thought leadership, education, and industry engagement at the critical intersection of energy, sustainability, and business strategy.  One of EDGE’s unique success factors is its ability to convene leaders from many industries who share an interest in understanding key trends and research on topics ranging from energy transition to consumer and commercialization trends, climate finance, corporate sustainability strategy, stakeholder engagement, geopolitics, and policy insights, among others.  EDGE accomplishes this mission by convening a distinguished and engaged group of practitioners called the EDGE Executive Council.  More than an advisory group, this is a peer-to-peer learning community which leverages close relationships with Duke faculty, researchers, and students as well as with council members to explore current industry trends and issues of the day.

EDGE is currently looking to expand our outstanding and diverse cadre of council members by adding 5 new members in 2025.  We are seeking nominations for senior industry executives who are: intellectually curious, working at the cutting edge of their fields, eager to engage in discussions that span industries and functions, looking for opportunities to build deeper connections with Duke’s Fuqua School of Business for student recruiting and/or research, and diverse in gender, racial, industry, and functional backgrounds.

Membership in the EDGE Executive Council is a prestigious affiliation that delivers value to council members and the wider Duke community.  Interested parties can learn more about the benefits and expectations associated with joining the group in our prospectus.  Both Duke alumni and non-alumni members are considered for membership.

Would you like to nominate yourself or a colleague for consideration as we expand the council this year?  We’d love to discuss.  Please send an email to EDGE managing director Katie Kross with name, title, short bio, and contact information of the nominee and we’ll set up time for a conversation.

Nominations will be accepted on a rolling basis with review beginning in early January.
