Ergon Refining and Marketing

Tim Brown is the Senior Vice President of Strategy at Ergon Refining and Marketing. Previously, he managed U.S. operations for Hansen & Rosenthal (H&R), a German manufacturer of specialty mineral oils like white oils, petroleum jellies, paraffin waxes, lubricants, motor oils, and plasticizers. He also served as the Chief Development Officer for the Green Harvest One Corporation, deploying a next-generation cleantech solution that converts agricultural and other organic waste into clean energy, clean water, heat, fertilizer, and value-add specialty products. Prior to 2018, Tim spent the previous 25 years in the oil and gas industry (refining, specialty products and lubricants), including serving as CEO of American Refining Group, an energy company based in Pennsylvania which included North America’s oldest continually operating oil refinery in Bradford, PA. In his leadership career, Tim has focused on long-term sustainable growth and “shared value” for all stakeholders (shareholders, employees, customers, suppliers, communities, and government agencies). He has dedicated himself to sustainable resource management and development through integration of innovative process and product technologies.  Tim holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Connecticut and an MBA from Duke University.
