Compare HSM Programs

The Health Sector Management Certificate Program is offered across all of Fuqua’s MBA programs, as well as to Fuqua MBA alumni.  In each of the programs, students earn the HSM certificate through a combination of required coursework, industry context electives, and breadth electives.  HSM offers students an understanding of the intersection of the various health care players, as well as the skills necessary to manage within or lead an organization.

Certificate Coursework Timing
Daytime All courses taken concurrently with MBA coursework. Courses count as electives towards MBA requirements.
Weekend Executive and Global Executive Health Institutions, Systems & Policy (HSM Bootcamp) and Fundamentals of Health Sector Management: A Global Perspective (HSM Seminar) and electives taken during MBA; other post-graduation.
Alumni All courses taken post-graduation.

HSM Coursework Residency
Daytime All courses completed in residency at the Fuqua School of Business.
Weekend Executive, Global Executive, and Alumni HSM Bootcamp can be taken either in residency or via distance. HSM Seminar and the HSM Project Course are completed via distance.  All other HSM courses begin with residency during the Elective Term and continue via distance.

Additional Costs
Daytime All coursework taken as electives for MBA;  no additional tuition charges for Daytime MBA students.
Global Executive and Weekend Executive 3 courses taken as MBA electives at no additional charge; 3 additional courses taken at $2,000 USD each. Total additional cost for HSM Certificate is $6,000 USD.
Alumni All courses for HSM are taken in addition to MBA coursework at $2,000 USD each. Total additional cost for HSM Certificate is $12,000 USD.
