Since 2014, the CASE Advisory Council has been led by Kevin Trapani. As President and CEO of The Redwoods Group, Kevin has had a keen eye for upcoming issues and trends in the social impact space and how CASE can continue to be at the forefront of these trends. He has also played a pivotal role in helping to build our Council into the powerhouse of social impact leaders that it is today. We thank Kevin for his hard work and service to the Council as his term as chair comes to a close. We wouldn’t be where we are today without Kevin and we are thankful that he will remain on the Council as an active member!
With Kevin’s transition, we are also excited to announce our new Advisory Council Chair. Ben Hecht is President and CEO of Living Cities, a collaborative of eighteen of the world’s leading foundations and financial institutions working together to address the challenge of poverty in cities in the United States. Living Cities uses a variety of innovative methods to meet this mission, from using impact investing to provide capital to promising initiatives to designing data collection and reporting tools to help social ventures make better decisions around their work.
Living Cities also does work around a number of topics that CASE has been involved in, including the use of tri-sector leadership to increase impact and looking at the need for an inclusive entrepreneurial space to address pressing social challenges. As the leader of Living Cities, Ben will be bringing an important lens to both the work CASE is currently doing and our future direction as we enter 15 years of being a leader in the social entrepreneurship movement.
