Annie Forrest

Annie is a proud 8th generation Appalachian, originally from Richlands, VA. She holds a B.A. in Psychology and Women, Gender, & Sexuality from the University of Virginia, and prior to attending Fuqua, dedicated her career to relationship abuse and sexual assault prevention efforts. She spent six years at the One Love Foundation, leading strategic partnerships and policy initiatives to scale relationship health education nationally.

This summer, Annie will be interning as a Farber Fellow at REDF, an impact investing organization focused on accelerating the growth and impact of employment social enterprises. Farber Fellows are paired with employment social enterprises in REDF’s Growth Portfolio. Annie’s REDF project will be with Coalfield Development in Huntington, WV whose mission is to “rebuild the Appalachian economy from the ground up.”

As a CASE i3 Fellow, she is excited to learn more about how impact investing and economic development can create greater equity within rural communities, particularly in the Appalachian region, and build a tighter-knit community of those interested in the broader impact investing field at Fuqua.
