Each Fall, Fuqua hosts the annual Duke University Energy Conference, an event that draws more than 500 students, alumni, and industry professionals to campus to talk about trends and key issues in the energy sector. Planning this high-visibility event is no small undertaking, and takes an incredible team of students. This year’s co-chairs, Uzo Biosah and Ryan Mascheri are already organizing a team, designing the program, and inviting speakers and sponsors for the 2024 Conference.
Meet Uzo and Ryan below… and save the date to attend the conference on Nov. 13, 2024!
Uzo Biosah (MBA/MPP’25)
Chibuzor (“Uzo”) Biosah—is pursuing a dual MBA/Master of Public Policy degree at Duke to gain the knowledge and skills required to advance policies and practices that advance the common good. As global temperatures rise and economic inequalities worsen, she believes there are opportunities for private, public, and non-profit organizations to work together to accelerate the clean energy transition while improving quality of life for people around the world. Uzo helped organize the policy panel for the 2023 Energy Conference, and she’s excited to serve as Co-Chair this year. Last summer, Uzo interned at the Boston Mayor’s Office of New Urban Mechanics (MONUM), where she worked cross-functionally to advance local EV charging policies. In 2024, she’ll be interning at The Bridgespan Group. Uzo earned her BA in Ethics, Politics, and Economics from Yale College, concentrating on urban policy. Outside of school and work, you’ll likely find her strumming her electric guitar or dreaming about catching a wave somewhere warm. LinkedIn
