Meet Our 2020 CASE Scholars
Anurag Dusanapudi
As Co-founder and Director of Operations for Impact Micro Ventures in India, Anurag is passionate about eradicating poverty through microenterprise in low-wealth populations. Believing that by enabling entrepreneurs, we can help others build a stable livelihood and reduce their dependency on aid. Prior to founding IMV, he served as a consultant on Enable Livelihoods, a World Bank and Indian Ministry of Rural Development funded project.
Ashley Warren
Ashley has a passion for making innovative, equitable education a reality for all. She started her career working in Mayor Adrien Fenty’s office in Washington DC before transitioning to the education sector. She has taught 2 nd , 3 rd , and 4 th grades in public and charters schools in both Philadelphia and New York and for the last 3 years has been the Director in Residence for Achievement First Public Charter School in New York, managing strategic initiatives and programs. Ashley, a first-generation college graduate, holds a BA in Communications & Culture from Howard University and a Masters in Elementary Education from Arcadia University.
Josefina Van Thienen
Josefina started her career in a Young Professionals Development program at AT&T/DIRECTV before launching her own venture, Comunidad Oficios, to connect service workers with customers. She has spent the last several years working with TECHO, an NGO working to eradicate poverty in Latin America and the Caribbean through home building, microentrepreneurship, emergency relief and more. Josefina most recently served as the Vice President of National Fundraising in Argentina. She is passionate about improving the sustainability and scalability of non-profit organizations. Josefina has a BS in Political Science from Saint Andrew’s University in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
Paul McCready
Paul spent the last 9 years in the United States Army, most recently serving as US Army Special Operations Civil Affairs Officer specializing in the Asia Pacific. In this role, he was responsible for supporting communities at risk of radicalization in their efforts to overcome poverty and achieve social stability. Paul hopes to use his MBA to work as a social impact consultant and eventually lead an international social enterprise that benefits those at the bottom of the pyramid. Paul has a BA in Philosophy from the University of Georgia and recently welcomed a baby girl, Alice, born January 25th!
