Researching Social Entrepreneurship

At CASE we often talk about our three core areas of activity – Education, Field Building, and Research.

By conducting work in these three areas, we aim to continue to build the field of social entrepreneurship and prepare leaders and organizations to change the world.   With such ambitious goals, we know that we cannot work alone!  As an example, in our research activities we conduct our own research, but we also work to facilitate and support research from others in the field.

In that vein, we are excited to be co-hosting (along with our wonderful colleagues at the University of Oxford’s Skoll Centre) the 4th Research Colloquium on Social Entrepreneurship this coming week.  In a few hours, nearly 60 academics from around the world will come to Durham to discuss their ongoing research, get feedback from their peers, and continue to build a community of scholars who are committed to strengthening the academic foundations of social entrepreneurship.

Keep an eye out for news from the Colloquium here on the CASE Notes blog and on twitter (@CASEatDuke or hashtag #SEcoll)!
